Marvelous Light
Here is one of my new favorite worship songs. :)
Marvelous Light
by Charlie Hall
I once was fatherless, a stranger with no hope
Your kindness wakened me, wakened me from my sleep
Your love it beckons deeply, a call to come and die
By grace now I will come and take this life, take Your life
Sin has lost it's power, death has lost its sting
From the grave You've risen victoriously
Into marvelous light I'm running
Out of darkness, out of shame, by the cross
You are the truth, You are the life, You are the way
My dead heart is now beating, my deepest stains now clean
Your breath fills up my lungs, now I'm free, now I'm free
Lift my hands and spin around, see the light that I have found
O the marvelous light, marvelous light

I like those lyrics a lot! I don't think whoever wrote that song doesn't have an authentic faith!

I love it, when I am working so hard and I get exhausted I will have to remember your comments. You have it right. If we can move right to the point of worship rather than complaint it will be so much better all around.
Keep writing, you don't realize the gift you have
Love you

Your poem reminds me of a movie I once saw depicting a true story about a father who was trying to custody for his kids. His wife had left him and in those days the Scottish church/government would take the kids and put them in orphanages because they thought it was better if kids were raised by women. Anyway at one point the little girl looses her grandfather, the sun rays break through a cloudy rainy day and fall on her hands. She remembers that her granda said those rays wher angles wings, grandda passing over her skin to remind her she wasn't alone.
Your poem, she twirls around, arm stretch arms..I can see the sun rays beating on her face.
Father God sends us so many messages reminding us we are not alone- a cool breeze, a bird song, a quiet starry night.
Thanks Lauren
